Souder, Miller & Associates Announces 2020 Directors and Officers
NEWS RELEASE – FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
During its 2020 annual meeting, Souder, Miller & Associates (SMA) elected board members and established this year’s corporate officers. The new board is chaired by Reid S. Allan, P.G., a senior vice-president located in Farmington. The board consists of seven SMA employees representing various organizational market and technical sectors. Also established were three emeritus directors and two non-voting advisors.
Karl Tonander, P.G., P.E., the organization’s CEO, noted this board is the most diverse in the company’s history. “Not only does 2020 reflect a very diverse board composition, but it’s also the first time that neither the CEO nor president are members of the board,” said Tonander. “The absence of the CEO and president is by design, as it made sense to us that since these roles report to the board, it would be better if we were not directors. On behalf of the 2020 directors and officers, I want to acknowledge everyone for their contributions and look forward to a strong finish for the year.”
